Dr. Beecham is a director and
founding member of the Leadership Resource Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since 1998, he has consulted with organizations to help them maximize
business performance and realize the full potential of their human
resources. Senior Executives utilize Dr. Beecham’s expertise
to guide them through the process of selecting and developing high
performance teams. In addition to his coaching and consulting
engagements at the Leadership Resource Center, he is a professional
speaker and writer committed to advancing the science of leadership
development.
Prior to his work in organizational psychology, Dr. Beecham founded
the Sport Psychology Program for the University of Georgia Athletic
Association. During his four-year tenure as a sport psychologist,
his contributions to elite teams and athletes helped to capture numerous
conference and national championship titles. In 1996, Dr. Beecham
was selected to work with members of the Olympic gold medal winning
Women’s Gymnastic Team.
Dr. Beecham is a fourth generation Georgian who earned a bachelor’s
degree in psychology from the University of Georgia in 1983.
Following his experience at UGA, he earned a master’s degree
from Augusta College while conducting research at the Medical College
of Georgia Hospital. In 1994, he completed his doctoral internship
at the University of Virginia Counseling Center and graduated with
his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Georgia School
of Professional Psychology.
