Mr. Honderd and his wife, Elizabeth Eggers, have been active designing, developing, and building innovative housing near mass-transit stations since 1984. Through their base company, ArchiTech Partners, Inc., and related entities, they have completed over 100 single family houses in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta. The most recent completed project is Townhomes at Fernwood Park, which is adjacent to the Brookhaven MARTA station and consists of 72 townhomes with live/work units and an ecologically-designed green space. It has been recognized with a Design of Excellence Award (2001) by the Atlanta Regional Commission.

Current projects for Mr. Honderd include the LaFrance Street Lofts, a warehouse conversion near the Edgewood-Candler Park MARTA station which has recently received an AIA Georgia 2005 Design Award and Atlanta Urban Design Commission Award (2005) and East Decatur Station, a mixed-use redevelopment by the Avondale MARTA station. As shown in his projects, Mr. Honderd has been a long-time advocate of environmentally-friendly design and “smart growth” planning principles.
