East Decatur Station is an ensemble of restaurants, shops, offices and public spaces that are bringing a new vitality to College Avenue in Decatur. It welcomes you to come eat Italian food at Figo’s, get your hair styled at Grow, stroll through iron gates and an old alley to sit along the fountain in a peaceful courtyard, have micro-brew on tap at The Corner Pub, take in an avant-garde play at Push Push Theater, experience Tai Chi at Decatur Healing Arts, or simply visit friends in pleasant surroundings.

Several of the buildings that make up East Decatur Station came to life in the early 1900’s as small repair shops or warehouses facing the railroad tracks. These were joined together, added onto and combined with newer buildings in the mid-1900’s to become a corporate headquarters and research facility. In 2002, the current ownership purchased the site and began the architectural exploration that rediscovered the original buildings. They broke apart the same-look corporate envelope and returned the site to a community of small buildings linked with pleasant pedestrian walks and courtyards.
